It only takes a quarter of an hour to go from Rovaniemi to the heart of the Arctic Circle’s beautiful wilderness. By scenic pristine rapids, in the pure nature you will find our lodge built according to traditions of mighty rugged logs. This is a place for recreation and wellbeing, a place to relax and enjoy good food in a fantastic atmosphere inspired by the traditions of the great days for the Lumberjacks, a piece of Finnish history and nature. Whether your purpose is meeting, conference, team building or just a relaxing holiday, all your needs are catered for at Vaattunki.

Lumber Lodge (80-100 persons) offers a setting reflecting on the traditions of the good old days of the forestry workers while Gentry Lodge (20 persons) displays the style of the forest owners. They are under one roof and can well serve a bigger group together. Vaattunki Kota (35 persons) is a traditional wooden tepee hut in the midst of forest, on walking distance from the lodge. Accommodation is in four separate lodges, the newest additions are the two fully equipped semi-detached houses. The surrounding nature and the Arctic Circle recreational area provide excellent settings for your stay. You can relax in the riverside sauna, the smoke sauna and the Hot-Pool, which is located on the riverbank, under the open sky

We have immense treasures just around the corner, the forest, the vast wilderness and the splendid seasons of the North. The location of Vaattunki has a history as a busy logging site, the livelihood of many lumberjacks. These treasures and traditions have inspired the menu, contributions from the northern nature and good food from local ingredients to satisfy all senses.
